What does it mean if someone can see a cross symbol in my solar plexus chakra?
Question: I recently had a chakra photo done at a holistic fair. My solar plexus chakra had a cross symbol appear. They could not explain what this was and I cannot find anything online about this. They explained the colors around me, indigo on one side and green on the other which meant I was learning.
Your solar plexus chakra is your centre of power. The main message of this chakra is that you have the power to choose. You have the power to choose how to act in your life, how you respond to life's circumstances, how you are with yourself and with others.
You can either react (based on your past) or you can choose to respond to life as it is unfolding in the moment in front of you.
This is not always easy. Our past conditioning, our beliefs, and perceptions about the world are strongly entrenched in our nervous system - in the brain, in the chakras, and in our subtle body.
However, it is possible to reclaim our own power. Through practice of mindfulness meditation, I learned to have greater awareness of what I am experiencing in the present moment. With this awareness, I gained the power to choose my response. That is the power of solar plexus chakra.
So, back to your question and the cross symbol.
The cross symbol in Christianity is a symbol of both suffering and victory. It is a reminder of the pattern of death, victory, and resurrection.
The Cross is also a symbol of four directions, four elements (earth, water, air/wind or spirit, fire).
In Earth based traditions, such as Pagan or Wiccan, Earth is a cross in a circle. This means sacred space or sacred Earth.
In the context of the third chakra, the cross symbol could be a metaphor for your personal transformation. It could symbolize that your old way of being and behaving in this world may be dying and you are being reborn with new ways of being. Ways in which you choose how to think and act in any of your life's circumstances.
Through this process of being reborn, you are being supported by the four elements, and sacred Earth symbol is a reminder to keep grounded, to keep in the present moment.
